What's on the needles?
I have been concentrating on two projects lately. First is the Rocky Coast Cardigan. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/pjmcmullen/rocky-coast-cardigan
This is a Hannah Fettig pattern from Coastal Knits. I am knitting this in Orchid by Harrisville Designs in the Indigo colorway. I am using my Chiaogoo interchangeables, U.S. #10. This is going so much faster than I thought it would. Of course, the fact that I've grown accustomed to such a smaller needle size - these seem huge. The cable pattern is very simple and easy to memorize. I have about 4 more inches to go on the body before starting the ribbing.
The second wip is my Hitchhiker scarf. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/pjmcmullen/hitchhiker
This is a paid pattern by Martina Behm. I am knitting this in Dream in Color Starry in the Into the Mystic colorway on my size 3 Knit Picks bamboo fixed circular needle. I just finished the 25th point of the 42 needed to complete. Each row gets slightly longer and consequently takes longer. My goal was to complete this for the March Pop Culture KAL in the Knitting in Circles podcast group. Not sure I will make it since this week is crazy at work and Sunday is the end of March.
What podcasts am I enjoying this week?
Yarniacs, Commuter Knitter, Watcha Swatchin'?, Knit Girlls, Knit Knit Cafe, SHK (Single-Handed Knitter)
